We've had a lot of fun figuring out how to get rid of the nasties in our stores!!! Lots of help has been offered by Jodi at Sustainable Sandhills. Her suggestion to use Bryant Recyling has been a Godsend. We're now able to recycle most of our waste without leaving the building. All glass, platic, paper and cardboard are currently being recycled at close to 100%. We've replaced many plastic containers and bags with post consumer recycled paper products and are working on our computer and office supplies. Being chemical free is extra easy for us, since we sell great cleaning products that are "green" already. YEAH!! We're constantly looking for ways to be a green retailer and to honor our customers and our environment. |
 | Eco-friendly oven cleaner
Instead of using highly toxic commercial cleaners that may contain chlorine bleach, ammonia, or phosphates, you can use common household substances to make your own environmentally friendly cleaners. For an eco-friendly oven cleaner, apply a paste of baking soda and water to your oven, let it sit overnight, then wipe clean with a soapy cloth.
